I have a 53 Fusion 1.4 TDCI. I have encountered a problem starting this winter on starting. intermittently the starter just stops when starting, sometimes it takes two or three starts to get it going.
There of course are no glow plugs on this model and once its started will start first time during the day.
Don't have a clue but it is a distinct cut out of the starter motor when it fails to start.....
