Forum Update

Previously I would select the alerts icon when it's showing as having some then be able to right click on the thread it is alerting me to and open it in a new page.

Now I cannot?
Windows 10/Google Chrome.

Is there a reason why when I now add hyperlinks, they are inserted at the beginning of a reply? My workaround is to return to a new paragraph and then backspace it up!

Same here. I add the hyperlink and then type my post, jumping the hyperlink if I have to.

I do not doubt what you say. I only visit this site via my laptop (windows 10/ chrome). I have no complaints.

Same issue, turned out to be my DNS service, NextDNS. It's privacy centric, so something on the forum cookie page is a bit spy-ie

I am pleased to announce and as you can (hopefully!) see we have completed a significant update of forum software on DIYnot.

The new software will provide new functionality plus update and improve the existing forum.

Some larger parts of the update are still underway, specifically the media (images) section and the like/thanks reactions. These should finish in the coming hours.

Some less significant tweaks and changes will continue over the the next couple of days.

Apologies for any hiccups along the way and normality will resume asap.

Thanks!
I want to post a electric query (how)

How do put in a post

I want to post a electric query (how)

Go to the "Forums" page

Run your eye down the sections until you reach "Electrics UK" and select it.

Look for the field "thread title" and type in a title that describes your subject

Look further down and type your question.
