Denial is not the river these illegals sail up on their way to Dover.
No, that's in Egypt.

To sum up, travel through 10 safe countries on your escape from harm. Then pay thousands to criminals.. Lose your documents on the way,

Riiiiiiight. Definitely genuine asylum cases, not migrants chancing it at all.
By jove! I believe you've got it.

Belarus invited them into Belarus
Irrelevant, Notchs argument is that the "refugees" wishes should take precedence over that of the country they are trying to enter illegally.
Why is Notch so silent about the Polish governments denial of the right of refugees to claim asylum in the country of their choice.

Of course it's not irrelevant.
If France invited thousands of refugees, laid on planes to bring them to Paris, then marched them to the shores of France and forced them into boats at the threat of being shot, then, and only then would you have a comparable situation.
So stop talking daft, although it does become you.

It’s irrelevant, that’s why.

this is your argument: “I don’t want them coming to the UK”

If the UK can choose to not accept any, so can every other European country.
Do you think that solves the problem?

Or if UK says: “we don’t them arriving, we want to send them back to France”

please explain to me why France should take even more, it already takes 3x more than the UK.

You still don't get it.
What the French Government wants is irrevelent, Notch believes that migrants should have the right to claim asylum in any country they choose, regardless of the wishes of the government of those countries.

The refugee arguments are all the same.

The RWR scream “I don’t want them here”

but that is not a solution, it’s a want.

the problem doesn’t go away

You still don't get it.
What the French Government wants is irrevelent, Notch believes that migrants should have the right to claim asylum in any country they choose, regardless of the wishes of the government of those countries.
But if a country invites refugees, and lays on planes for transport, it follows that that country should be responsible for their accommodation and welfare.
You can't invite thousands of refugees, transport them to your own country then point them, force them even, to invade another country.
That's probably a war crime, using civilians, refugees even, to break down the frontier of your neighbouring country.

If you can't see that, there's no hope of you understanding more complex problems.

this is your argument: “I don’t want them coming to the UK”
The British government doesn't want them coming to the UK illegally.
You appear not support that position, yet you appear to support the Polish government policy of denying entry to illegal migrants on the Poland/Belarus border.

Notch believes that migrants should have the right to claim asylum in any country they choose, regardless of the wishes of the government of those countries.
Correct as long as they have wives partners or children already in said country.

Incidentally - does international law supersede domestic law?

The British government doesn't want them coming to the UK illegally.
The UK want them to come via the most dangerous route possible.
If that were not true, UK would make safer options available.

You appear not support that position, yet you appear to support the Polish government policy of denying entry to illegal migrants on the Poland/Belarus border.
The situations, and backgrounds are not comparable. Belarus invited the refugees.
They even facilitated their air travel. One could easily make an argument that Belarus were the people traffickers.

“regardless of the wishes of the government of those countries”

Please can you expand on the logic of that statement.

for example let’s say UK gets some refugees arriving by boat.
We know they came from France
The UK government “doesn’t wish them to stay”
What next?

let’s say UK govt wants to return them to France
….but France “doesn’t wish to have them”

The solution is collaboration….and that means each country cannot exercise its “own wishes”

and that’s why the whole “sovereignty” argument falls apart

So you support the right of migrants to
enter the UK illegally.

These migrants can return to their country of origin any time they wish, as many of them have done already.
The reason they are migrating through Belarus is because the EU has refused them entry.
