French doors not locking easy

It needs a bit of diagnosis.
Start by seeing the handle raises easily and key locks when door is open.
If it does then check door alignement - do doors line up at top and bot and are they parallel when shut.
If doors have separate keeps, you can take 1 off, see if door locks, then try other keep.
Its a matter of elimination.
Yes adjustment is on hinges usually, but rubber compression is on keeps
