Gawd Knows as we dont work up there strictly GU postcodes

what about this SL lady then, am I meant to know her?

and why the irish comment?

Yes I did cut off, issue warning notice and stuck a label on it. The bill was 150/day, over 3 separate days, which i do not feel was overcharging. She was told and given in writing the cost all throughout and it was her making additions to the job, not me.
The other issue now with her is that I sent invoice after invoice I would'nt of minded if she had spoken to me straight away about it, but she has waited for 5 months to decide that I overcharged after talking to mr fixit

Thanks agile, I was that mad that I have started action. The women was never going to pay up the more I think about it she constantly was moaning about money and that she is going to have to remortgage to get all of the work done by other trades.

Could have been that you were just unlucky and it was spilling the day you were there.

What was the flue flow test like before you put it back together? Did you heat the flue up as in the regs?

Could have been the weather that day.

Tell her you will issue a smalls claims order for the outstanding owed money.

I take it you have invoiced her correctly and it was not a 'cash job'

Yep heated flue up as per regs and no it was not a cash job. Me thinks I've been a muppet, but yes I have started small claims proceedings.

Lesson well and truely learn't

Part of the procedure is that you have to write a letter headed "Letter before Action" saying that if payment is not received within a few days ( usually 7 ) then you will instigate County Court action.

Some people do pay on receipt of that letter.
