I think he bought just a few years ago. Have to admit, although we all have different levels of risk-taking in us, if I'd bought around £3.2k of stock and seen it rise suddenly, I'd probably have ridden until £500k-ish and then offloaded as quickly as possible. Crystal ball stuff (Bitcoin) yes things can continue to rise and rise, equally ...
 
I just find the whole concept of short selling and FOREX bets and the like abhorrent.

The fact that some bloke at a desk in the city, can essentially bet on and cause a business to crash in value, or just manipulate currency on a whim, and make vast profits with nothing, from nothing, whilst contributing nothing just brings out the socialist in me.

Whilst the impact on some hedge funds is pleasing in this case, it does not remove the impact on Gamestop or any other company - which is negative - just a pawn in some righteous vendetta.
