Hi,

Thanks for any advice received!!

House is 5 years old, with detached garage, fully supplied and protected. I want to put a weatherproof socket on the outside wall of the garage to power lights and a pond pump, run off the circuit inside the garage.

Is that considered "new" outside work (and therefore notifiable / part P, etc) or is the garage already considered "outside"?

You should really have posted this in Electrics UK btw.
Installing a weatherproof socket on the outside of a garage is a notifiable task.

Although having a socket on the inside of the wall and drill holes to feed 2 x external flex's isn't notifiable
