Gas meter was capped by NG - apparently swapped a pre pay for normal meter

took cap out and put test on. 10mb down to 0mb in 20 seconds. Put cap back in

The house has been done up quite nicely but what is this lot? tenant due to move in thursday. No books or fook all in sight, has the boiler even been turned on i very much doubt it.
The owner (solicitor) has asked for a price for me to fix it all but a lot of the pipework i am guessing is under the tiled bathroom in a boxing, in the brand spanking new kitchen...

sorry for the upside down images

ha ha

It cost them a fortune by the looks of it

also the fused spur feeds the cooker then there is a cable that goes to the hob?

If it's gas tight and flueing and ventilation okay, plus a Visual inspection of exposed pipework is okay. Excepting the hob, you have to say its safe.

It's neither of them Jeff

There's a leak somewhere
Flue not sealed
Hob not right
No sleeving on gas pipe

Ill price to fix that lot but can't go ripping floors up I suppose !

Would you report this lot or just crack on and charge accordingly ?

Probably just a cheap East European builder's work.

Its a pity that even a solicitor can use unregistered people and get away with it by just having the bad bits corrected but leave the other 90% as they fitted it.
