i think it was 2004 when the use of rigid pipe was made mandatory for hobs, did anyone ever see a braided hose connected to a hob or has a monkey put a plumbing 15mm flexi on it?

The use of flexiable cooker hoses is still
permitted on gas hobs and the use of braided water suitable hoses has never been allowed so your point being is.

come on lee you missed the "only if the mi's say you can" out

Nearly right.

Only if the MIs say you CANNOT.

"A gas hob shall be connected to the termination point by means of rigid pipework or, unless stated
otherwise in the manufacturer’s instructions, a flexible connector and self-sealing plug device conforming
to BS 669-1."
