Gas Safe Registration

I am not sure you can expect any paperwork for moving a boiler.
I wouldnt normally issue any paperwork when moving a boiler, other than an invoice/reciept with a description of the works carried out.
My invoice/reciept carries my registration number.
Its not a new boiler so doesnt need notifying/registering
You can however expect him to be registered if he said he was.
You can expect him to proove his registration to you without complaint.
Most RGIs are reluctent to work on other peoples work.

 DONT PAY A PENNY until he presents you with a "Headed" invoice,
Ask for a Gas Safety Certificate (which he should issue as a matter of course)

When he has gone, contact Gas Safe Register and request a "Free of charge work inspection" - they will want to see the paper work he has left you, they will then take action if he is un-registered (it is very likely that he isn't)
