Hi,

Looking for some advice on fittings for vented hot water cylinders……

For the coil, 1” male seems standard – would changing this for either a 22mm or 28mm compression fitting be £20 well-spent?!

Similarly, I can change the gender of the cold-feed and the hot-water draw-off from female to male for £10 each – should I? Or, should I get a compression fitting here too?

Advice much appreciated…..

22mm compression (or 28mm if required) does make everything easier. That's how every connection arrives when ordered from Gledhill for the company that I work for.

I don't exactly understand what you are trying to find out.

Probably most normal domestic cylinders are now fitted with 22 mm compression fittings.

But I wonder if you are really thinking of pipework sizes.

As above, Gledhill come with compression fittings as standard. Whether you need 22mm or 28mm depends on your heat source
