Ginger men who now identifies as a woman.

No they aren't.
Are you another who denies that intersex exists?
Have you not read the medical science papers that proves it exists?
Or are you like Ivor and other a devout non-believer?

They're men pretending to be women.
You are mistaken in believing that if a man utters the words "I am a woman" he magically changes sex.
How many men have been prosecuted for entering women's spaces?
But the point is that the transphobes, the ones who want to legislate/ignore/ridicule/bully transgender people out of existence, almost invariably reach at some point for the argument that sex is a binary trait as a way to find a scientific underpinning for their bigotry.

They also frequently show how unable they are to rise to a proper level of debate by putting forward another of the ludicrous assertions of two totally black/white polar extremes - if you don't agree with their "sex is binary and transgenderism is for fruitcakes" you automatically become a fervent supporter of hairy muscular men strutting round women's changing rooms with a stiffy saying "I'm a woman".

Some countries have been banned from competing in the Olympics.
How is that an arbiter of anything?
Just watched two transgender women on good morning Britain, the one with sense agrees that it would be unfair for him (her) to compete against women as he admits he has an unfair advantage in being physically stronger.

Their physique gives them an unfair advantage in the same way as doping. Thinking they are women trapped in a man's body doesn't automatically give them the same rights as women. Your exhaustive explanations of the topic haven't convinced me society is prepared to allow a few transgender women to instruct the wider majority on their demands.

THIS IS NOT TRUE.
A flat denial is often considered worthless because it is an unsubstantiated, irrational refusal to accept reality, frequently used to avoid uncomfortable truths, shame, or fear. Such denials act as defensive mechanisms, which can cause individuals to doubt their own perceptions and lose the ability to think objectively.
Do you find the truth uncomfortable, shame or fear?
Do you doubt your own perceptions and have you lost the ability to think objectively?

Please read the article about how Birth registration came into being, and then we can discuss whether it had an over religious slant to it.

We aren't talking about a few. We're talking about hundreds of thousands in the UK, millions globally.

I'm not arguing that intersex, transgender should have the same rights as women. I'm arguing tht tsociety should evolve to recognise the actual truth, that sex is not binary.
It should revisit the 1837 Act on registering Births as one of either sex.
Then we can properly accommodate transsexual people.
But in the meantime, we need to find a compromise.
Equality is not hierarchical, it's either egalitarian or it's not.
The idea that UK is egalitarian because it recognises women's rights is a myth.

(0.5% of the population aged 16+) in England and Wales identified with a gender different from their sex registered at birth. While this is the official statistic, the Office for National Statistics noted some potential for overestimation due to misunderstanding the question, though it is considered a useful estimate of the population. Of the 262,000, 48,000 identified as trans men (0.1%), 48,000 as trans women (0.1%), and 30,000 as non-binary (0.06%). 118,000 people (0.24%) answered that their gender was different but did not provide a specific write-in label. 1% of people aged 16 to 24 in England and Wales identified as a gender different from their sex at birth.

When you take into account the number of people you could easily say only half that number would qualify on medical grounds.

In what discipline?

So the data is error strewn. The majority of older transexial have lived all their lives trying to be "normal". They're not about to admit now that they're not "normal" to use warey4life's expression.
The acceptance of transexuality is till in its infancy. So it's likely the collected data will be an underrepresentation of the actual situation.

What do you mean about "qualifying on medial grounds"? You mean diagnosed as intersex?
As i just said intersex is in its infancy. I'm guessing that over -40 somethings have never been diagnosed properly or objectively.
