Gledhill boilermate 3

Hi can anybody help I'm having problems with my gbm 3 on some occasions when the thermostat clicks on the 3 port valve does not move across to give heating, the red led is flashing to indicate a demand for space heating but when i check the cable to the 3 port valve with a vault stick it shows no reading, but if you then run the hot water as soon as the store temp droops down to 1 the valve moves across to give heating.

Any help would be much appreciated

sounds wired wrong if a call for hot water gives you heating - have you had any work done on the system recently

Its only when the store temp drops down to 1 that power is sent to the 3 port valve.

Don't know much about this version of the boilermate, buts sounds like a control board problem possibly.

I would get someone out to check with more than a volt stick, as Gledhill are pretty unhelpful to non registered guys.

In fact Gledhill have now gone into receivership, so there may be no help from them at all
