When I moved GP surgeries, last year, to one I could more easily get to, I lost all access via SYSMONLINE to my previous health record - It all started from scratch with a blank record. Quite annoying, when you want to look something up, but....

A few weeks ago, I inquired if there might be any possibility of regaining access to those earlier records - yes, no problem, just fill in this form, and prove who you are, and we can email it, within 30 days. I've just received it, as a pdf, all 600 pages.

GPs are private businesses subcontracted by the NHS. The level of interconnection and interoperability between them is dire.

The NHS knows this is a problem and are working to improve it, but it isn't a priority.

Humans are able to delineate their boundaries with fences and lines. They don't go round the garden sniffing everything then peeing on it.
Well, if they did, they would be able to make for strong boundaries. There wouldn't be any wars then....
