Well I believe if Trump does make his move on Greenland then NATO will dissolve, the USA has been propping us up for years. I believe a new alliance will form and a new army will be made, a European army. Where does this leave us in the UK if that happens? We are not part of the EU any more. Would we be invited?

My feeling this morning is that the EU needs to become two speed. France, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Nordics and Poland. We should join them. That will give a core block of more than 300 million people with similar intentions and a huge economy. The countries we can't trust, like Italy and East Europe, will have mainly a trade relationship. It is the only way to survive/prosper in the dangerous new world which Trump is creating. I would imagine at least two thirds of the UK will now be in favour.

The EU is not united over Greenland, Trump has criticised the U.K. for hypocrisy over Greenland while ignoring the occupants of Chagos.

Unless the EU can form a NATO like agreement, an army will never mobilise. A lot of EU officials are commenting beyond their mandate. The members are not united.

Lots of hot air, ths is what will happen:

1) Greenland will allow US troops/base to scale up significantly to meet US demands.
2) Greenland/Denmark will allow exclusive US drillng for minerals.
