Hey If tiling a bathroom were the toilet cistern has been set off the wall so I can get my tiles in to tile behind it. Is it ok if this grout line isn't grouted? Its not visiable. Behind the cistern.

If the wall behind is plasterboard or something else porous, there's a chance it'll absorb damp. Best if you can remove the cistern.

Your house probably won't fall down if you don't, but it's the difference between a proper job and a "good enough", but will you be able to forget you didn't finish it right?

as said above, remove the cistern and grout everything, toilets sometimes have quite a bit of condensation, that can soak into your subtrate and spread
