GU10 fitting stuck (resolved)

I've replaced three GU10 fittings like the one below without issue. It's been as simple as grabbing one or two of the lugs and twisting anticlockwise. The inside white ring then twists about a centimetre and then falls out from the middle ring. The light blub with then fall down slightly, and one can unscrew it from the connector and then replace it by reversing the process.

The one below pictured however won't budge. At all. I've even tried grabbing a flathead screwdriver and pushing with considerable force against one of three lugs, but nothing is moving. Without removing the inner ring I can't remove the blub to replace it.

Does anyone have any idea how to deal with this?

After fixing this I finally got the thing to budge. It seemed like pushing the light bulb out of it's fitting and up (so it's kinda just hanging in the roof) and then sticking you're fingers around and poking at the metal ring helped. Still needed a lot of force to get the thing to twist though.

See if you can gently lever the whole fitting down from the ceiling, using the outer ring or bezel.
