And although it says stud walls, it looks equally applicable to lofts, where cables were on top of insulation and then more is added on top. You never know - people might want to re-evaluate their circuits' CCC and adjust the loads and OPD ratings.

Quite possibly, my question only really in response to the 'cables must be clipped in safe zones' Good practice, yes, but necessary?
Another thought was that if you are dropping down through a stud wall to an accesory mounted half way between studs, you only have the top/bottom batten and and noggins to position cable, theres nothing to clip to.
