My Buyers Surveyor wants two downpipes (surface water) to go past the Gully grids and further into the Drain. Question is how to get the gully grids to fit after? Should I buy plastic ones and cut them to fit round the pipe? Thanks

Not all gullies are suitable for this and not all situations are ideal either. I cut mine short of the grid so that they are actually short of the gully now, due to blocked downpipes.
I learnt this from a client of mine who had a similar problem with the same (bottle) gullies.
Yes use plastic ones and a socket on the end of the downpipe so that goes through. Nose is correct but why not keep the surveyor happy
