Guttering advice / 2nd opinion

Hi,

Just wondering if any UK guttering experts on here wouldn't mind me DMing them some photos of my recent guttering replacement for a 2nd opinion. I don't think what has been done is ok.

I have three concerns.

1) The guttering now goes into the hopper, it was not previously connected; the hopper is connected to next door's system. The hopper has been cut into and silicon used, this doesn't seem ok to me. Is there a joining mechanism that should have been used?
2) The outlet pipe holes: should these be circular?
3) Downpipe, the join looks uneven

They should have used a running stopend:

No need for a hopper, was it a cash job? or cheapest quote?

Hopper should be like that and probably shouldn't even be fitted there as no need.
That's going to give trouble

The hopper was already there, it mainly collects water from next door's roof.

My gutter was not previously connected to it. I did not ask for it to be connected the way it has been.

Next door's gutter stops halfway along, so a lot of rainwater can run off their roof into the hopper.

What a cobbled up mess for the sake of a few cm's.
