Hello all,
Hope someone can give some advice.
Electric was working great in flat until one day it started to trip over and over. Would not stay on.
Electriction came out and spent ages trying to find out why to no avail. He did say there was a fault with one of the sockets in a bedroom and messed around with it and changed a few things. Soon after he left half the sockets stopped working in flat and also it still kept tripping.
I then discovered there was a leak from kitchen sink dripping onto a stupildly placed socket under cupboard under sink. When I removed the washing maching which was plugged into this socket it no longer was tripping. Sadly still half the sockets not working though but no more tripping.
Had another electician out who spent hours trying to figure out how to get the sockets working again no no avail. He said it was probably a fault with a wire under a carpet or in wall and would have to have the whole electrics rewired.
What are your thoughts on this? Maybe last electrictan missed something or should have checked something he did not check? He said the RCD is still working and is on, so it is safe but still have sockets which do not work.
I have attached a pic of the electric cicuit as it currently is now, if I turn on any of the other breakers which are currently off, then the electric trips.
