Can anyone help with this problem?

My heating keeps coming on (even when the boiler is switched to hot water only!) so this morning the wireless stat shows its 27 degrees which is a bit warm!

I've changed the batteries and reset the boiler and made no difference. To cool house down I've just turned if off completely!

It was only fitted 4 weeks ago so going to get the fitter back out although a little bit of knowledge would be helpful!

Boiler? controls? guess?

Trying to type on ipod is a nightmare!

Its a Main Combi Eco 30 and not sure about the controls (its a wireless thermostat and thats about all I know! sorry for the lack of detail!)

I don't know if its a problem of if its just connected to the water pre-heat feature?

Can't find a picture of the front panel but there are the dial to reset/have hot water and heating/turn off/water only then there is a temperature indicator and two dials for the heating and hot water temperature.

The heating seems to come on when the temperature for heating is showing as low on the temperature indicator on the front panel on the boiler (even though the wireless stat is set to come on at 18 and its 24 in the house!) which then heats the house when we don't need it

Sorry for the long post! Just want to know if this is an actual feature of the boiler or a problem that needs fixing!

ALso will turning off the preheat of the hot water stop this happening?
