Hi,

I am trying to repair my sons laptop which has a screw missing from the hinge that attaches to the screen.

It's a Sony Vaio SVF142C29M from a few years ago. Sony are as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike and so I have to try and work it out myself.

I've attached a pic of its brother on the other side of the laptop and all I can say is that it takes a Philips 0 screwdriver.

With all shops around me killed off by the internet and COVID I will try and source online but any guesses as to what size/thread I should be asking for would be very useful.

Thanks for looking.

regards,

Chris

I would guess at M2 or 2.5 try somewhere like amazon for small metric screw assortments.
