why have you got the hob and oven on an rcd ?? do you have a split dis board or is your electrical supply via overhead cable because as a rule you never but them on a rcd because when an element is cold it can get damp and the moisture in side causes the rcd 2 trip, sounds like the oven is faulty 2 me

He just might even have an RCD incomer (like me). Then you have no choice (short of changing the board) whether it is RCD protected or not.

RCD firing on a cooker usually means water has got into the elements. Usually once dried out again it will be OK, at least until the sprouts boil over again.. If not then gently remove covers and give a wipe over to remove anything gungy from around contacts, and look for damaged metal tube casing of elements - possibly you can try and eliminate which element is the culprit, by switching rings/grill/oven in turn. I have in desperation tried drying out with gas torch, with temporary success for a few days, then replaced the element with a pinhole rusted through casing when the shops had re-opened after the hols. Just some thought to get you started. Don't rule out steam either I suppose.
