Help needed with lights in lounge

Sorry.

I'll look at it and post back soon, but I've lost my initial take on what may have been......

Those groups of cables for the wall lights... as you go round the room in one direction, are they in that order? Or is the light with only one cable at one end or the other as opposed to in the middle?

Deffo need more help with the wall lighting wiring arrangement. Unless there are other lights we don't know about, there seem to be far too many cables at the wall light positions. Here's what I have worked out so far.

The single red/ cpc is the switch wire for the two-way lights. Whether those are the ceiling lights or the wall lights is for you to decide. The twin entering the other switch (not the strapper cable) is the line for both and switch-wire for the 1 way. So, using that info, you could get the ceiling lights working and the switches on. In theory, you would only need a single cable from the ceiling to the first wall light, then looped round to the others, so I can't see why there are oodles of cables at the wall positions. Maximum there needs to be 2, unless there are local switches, in which case the connections in the wall would be different.

Need more info. on where the link cable and its conductors go between the ceiling and the wall. And more info on where each cable goes at the wall positions.

But have a go with the ceiling and switch connections and see if the ceiling fitting lights up and the switches work. Don't forget to join all CPC's together and sleeve them and put terminal blocks on any wires not connected.

Let us know how you get on.
