Hi guys

I moved into a new home today - it was repossessed so no previous owners to talk to or anything. I was never given any instructions or advice regarding the alarm in the apartment, and since I switched the mains on today every few hours the alarm has been sounding. I wasn't there at the first time my sister was there unpacking while I was at my old home and she simply turned the mains off and on again and it stopped. Since then it has happened again and I did the same to stop it.

It's an apartment complex so when I switch the mains off during the alarm for a brief second before I turn it back on the outside alarm sounds, I have tried just turning the fuse for the alarm off in my building until I get instructions but when I did that the outside alarm for the building went off again - it's now almost 1am and I don't want to keep messing with it.

Here is how the alarm currently looks:

Can anyone let me know what I need to do?

Thanks.

That's a Eurosec cpl8 the default code is ...5678 ....engineer code 1234 , power up and try 5678 if it works the battery will need replacing in the main box, if the code does not work it will need defaulting ....BUT.....it may be engineer locked ,if so either get in touch with the installer or replace the pcb..

I managed to try 1234 last night and it gave me all the standard options to set, delete zones etc, however for example when I set the alarm it begins the 20 second countdown, once 1 or 2 seconds have passed the alarm sounds and a Tamper Check warning comes on.

Ok you have a tamper fault , first step link out the global tamper in the main box , put the panel lid back on and press reset , now try to set the alarm , take a picture of the pcb while the lid is off and post it

Okay, I've had to go to work now but will try when I'm home assuming someone hasn't been called out because it'll go off at around 10am if it's going off just for the sake of it, hopefully it was because of my movement but I'm not holding my breath. By main box do you mean behind the number panel? I'm legitimately a newbie when it comes to anything like this.

If it's standard codes

Enter 1234
Press no until select options
Press yes
Programme zone press yes

That will stop the system from tampering until you get it fixed.
