Help with kitchen rewire and heating costs estimate pls

The kitchen you go on to illustrate seems to show little, if anything, of an 'electrical installation', other than the lights (and maybe one visible accessory) :-)

It's neither his kitchen nor, probably, a real one.

I have seen phone chargers with induction loop ...
Indeed - I use one all the time. However, as we've discussed in the past, it is not a practical way of transferring appreciable amounts of power.
....and I know I have problems working out how to get power to the central island my wife wants.
'Down from above' is often the most practical solution (when there is a solid floor), although it's not aesthetically ideal.

Yes I think lighting track is most likely answer.

Seem to remember there were experiments for powering cars without wires, it was some time ago, think the Guy was Nikola Tesla? And he died in 1943.

It would be nice to know how you acheived it and how advice on here might have helped

Hi, I was able to take my plumbers advice on another electrician. He was able to give me an hourly rate and allow me to pay for his materials directly myself. He gave me an approximate timescale for the work and materials and it was about £500 less than previously quoted. Part way through the work at the moment and time scales appear accurate. He is also more open to discussing matters with me and making suggestions about electrical matters. To the point where I will actually be using him for some more work than I had originally planned. I was happy with some of the responses that I got from the group .... I do realise it is a DIY forum but some areas, like electrical, I do think best left to experts, I was just , in this case, looking for a bit more of a steer as to how much work was involved as it is easy as a DIYer to underestimate. Hope that helps answer your querey.
