When splitting the meter tails to a 2nd CU, where should the earth to the 2nd CU come from?

Can the earth be taken from the existing CU, or does the earth wire fom the meter have to be split as well?

Cheers

Assuming PME, 16mm from service head terminal into one end of this block; 16mm to each CU, 10mm to main services bonds.

Nice one. I'll pass the info on.

Incidently, does that earth block have a cover or anything, or is it just screwed as is to the wall/chipboard next to the Henley block?

With regards to the isolator, under a Part P inspection, would the installation fail if an isolator was not fitted?

Thanks

Doesn't need an enclosure. It is earthed and as safe to touch as your kitchen tap.

Well, my kitchen tap is connected to 230V, and coated in Polonium 210, so that's not very safe....

Just be sure your earth is actually at earth potential.

You'd think that with a PME label and a big, green and yellow sticker with the earth symbol on it you'd be okay, wouldn't you? Nope. This 'earth' was at phase potential. A nice surprise for the unwary. (Thankfully, the MET wasn't actually connected to the installation... just to the incoming phase!)
