Hi can anyone answer a question that may seem silly. Just aquired a 1997 micra shape. The biting point seems very high and what i want to know is can it be altered by tightening the clutch cable or some such thing. Told you it was a silly Question. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Not a daft question at all...!
The clutch cable is adjustable on these......where the cable enters the operating arm on the top of the gearbox you'll see a nut on the end of the cable itself (10mm). This nut has to be slackened a few turns, and then there is a knurled adjuster that is turned to actually lengthen the cable a bit.
Turn this until there is free play at the operating arm and the pedal bite is lower.
Enjoy!
John :)
