Got my soundbar kit. But there are burger all instructions about layout of the components.

In the kit are a soundbar, a sub and two rear speakers.

I have gathered the best position for the bar itself underneath the TV.

And the rear speakers are best behind the primary seating area aimed towards the middle.

But where is the best place for the sub? The instructions were not at all clear.

Any advice, please?

Thanks, freddie.

Is it better in one position than another?

For example, is it better to have it central, in front or behind of the viewers etcetera?

Or doesn't it make any difference?

The surround speakers should be on the side walls, set a little way back. The angle from the main listening position (MLP) is 110~120 degrees relative to 90 degrees being in line with the MLP. The speakers should be turned to face the MLP.

The height of the surrounds should be 12" / 35cm above ear height for the MLP. There's no need to angle the speakers down.

Subwoofer position depends on the frequency range it's covering. Since the Hisense kit is a sound bar, and the slim profile doesn't cater for larger drivers, the subwoofer will be covering part of the fundamental male vocal range. You'll hear some of male voices speaking from the sub as well as the sound bar. For this reason, the subwoofer should be at the front of the room, not the rear. It should be nearer to the soundbar rather than further away.
