Hi,
I was wondering if it makes any difference where the receiver for the Hive 2 system goes, I know in the instruction manual it says next to the boiler. My current setup is the boiler in the loft, the programmer in a bedroom cupboard and the thermostat on the landing.
I would like to just replace the programmer with the receiver (it is currently in the bedroom above where my wifi router is) and replace the thermostat linking out the wires as in this topic: clicky
Can anyone think of a reason why I shouldn't? The only thing that had me wondering is how does the frost protection work, or is this just off the thermostat?
I haven't been in the loft yet so may even find a frost stat up there.
Thanks
Paul
