Hi All,

I have a Honeywell/ ADE G4 alarm system fitted. I recently attempted to replace 3 of 5 PIR's with pet tolerant units.

The first unit fitted and worked without any issues. When I fitted the second unit all the power to the PIR circuit seemed to have failed.

I have checked the 20mm fuses on the main board and all are fine.

When I set the alarm on the LED keypad all the zone indicators illluminate, the alarm appears to set itself but it will not trigger no matter how much I jump around like a fool.

I telephoned my install engineer and he gave me the engineer/ install code but declined to offer help regards fault finding (except for a hefty fee)

Does anyone of you clever peeps have any idea how I can resolve this?

You have BLOWN a FUSE. I worked that out by reading your 4th sentence. "When I fitted the second unit all the power to the PIR circuit seemed to have failed"

Looking at a fuse is NOT the correct way to find out if it is blown or not.
