I am locating my hot water cylinder in the loft. 250lt capacity. There is a masonry wall either side of it with 4x2 joists spanning 2.5m between them. The original cold water tank used to be located here. I have found the design below for truss roofs. Do I follow the same principle ie cross the existing 4x2's with 6x2's then cross again with 4x2's and a ply deck?
Is ply the best for the deck and what sort of size deck would you lay? Should I also install a back "wall" to 1 end of the deck for spurs etc?
