Hi, I have the above fridge freezer. It's about 4 years old. I've noticed the compressor appears to be running longer than usual. In fact I think it's running continuously. I have touched the compressor and it is hot. The compressor does turn off for defrost - I've heard it do this in the last few days. The temperatures in the fridge and freezer appear to be normal, though the ice cream seems a little softer than usual.

The appliance has moved a few times recently as we've had a new floor laid and a whole new kitchen, and my wife brought a ton of frozen bargains home and crammed the freezer full. It's no longer full, back to a normal loading.

I'm thinking the first thing I'll do is remove the back panel inside the freezer and check for frost. If there's frost I'll turn it off and fully defrost it.

I've drawn a blank online with help on this specific model, short of an exploded view of the replaceable parts. Does anybody have a service manual or a link for one? If it's not frost i might be tempted to pay hotpoint the £140 for a one time fix. It's out of warranty. I love to fix stuff myself though.
