I have a Hotpoint FTCD871 heat pump tumble dryer which I inherited with the house. It's not very old and hasn't had much use.
It's located next to a washing machine so would make sense to have been plumbed into the water outlet, however the water bottle fills up so I'm assuming it isn't.
Ever since I moved in, the dryer flashes up saying the filter needs cleaning and the water emptying. I've cleaned both filters thoroughly and emptied the water and still this message appears. I understand from the instructions that this message is automatic and should disappear once the tumble has been operated again for a few minutes, and I don't need to do anything to tell it that I've done these things.
Does the fact this message is there all the time indicate there's a problem somewhere?
