How are your potholes?

For me the issue with potholes is that the contractors get paid to refill the same holes many times.

Make them use decent filling systems and then the problem might just get a bit better

As Punt and Dennis said on TV the other day, if they could find a way to link all the potholes it would solve the water storage problem and so prevent the imposition of hosepipe bans in the summer.

You do pay NI over the upper limit but at a much lower rate

From what I read you pay NI per job. You could be earning £150 in 1 job and the same in 3 other jobs, £600 in total and pay no NI. Employer wouldn't pay either.

In todays world of gps tracking down to inches every single pot hole repair should be logged and if it comes back in within a set time period then it should be repaired free of charge that way they might spend a little bit more time initially doing them right if they know they are not getting paid countless times for the same repair

Rainbows are actually circular.

If you are at a height where the ground is not in your field of vision, you see more.

Rishi looked at a hole in Darlington in 2023. I expect it's been mended by now.

He's wearing his Bob the Builder boots.

I've seen much worse holes round here.

They obviously do good pies in Darlington.
