Hello, I am currently replacing my garage door. I would like a door and a window

There is a part which divides the window and the door, there is a column and I’m wondering how I can make a column from 4 inch concrete block. The width of the column is the width of the concrete block, and I’m not sure whether you can stack them on top of each other..
