he takes out his baton after she keeps coming at him, she then raises her hand and has something in it so he moves to strike at her legs to dissable her..

moral of the story is if you don't want a beating from the police, dont start shouting an stepping up to them in the middle of a baying crowd when they are cornered and outnumbered..

However, the Police are trained in crowd control and should be able to deal with people shouting/swearing in their faces. I agree that the juice carton could have contained something other than juice but, if it had, giving her a backhander and a couple of whacks with his baton would hardly have stopped her throwing it in his face, quite the reverse, it may well have encouraged her to do so.

Watch it again. She's pointing in the OPPOSITE direction. He is yards away and then goes after her. You expect this in South America - but not London. Would you have done what he did?

What concerns me is that non of his colleagues intervened throughout the whole incident. The way I see this is that they saw him digging a hole for himself and were content to see him jump into it, which says a lot about their view of him
