How do I form a seal between these please

I've installed an in-line extractor fan (brilliant idea that came from this forum) for my bathroom extraction. It has the white duct which then connects to a solid pipe (this was there previously).

I've just noticed that there is a water drip where these pipes join. I slipped the white duct over the solid pipe and then wrapped some duck tape over it.

The lighting isn't great in my loft but I've attached a few pictures.

How do I achieve a water tight seal please.

You could try self amalgamating tape must be stretched when applying.
Are both pipes designed for extractor if so the supplier should stock some kind of adaptor.

I am unsure on the solid pipe as it was previously there. I think this was the vent for a toilet once upon a time.

Is the pipework being repositioned from where the pics were taken from, if not and the joint is the lowest point then there will be a reservoir of water when the joint is waterproof ?

Could you swap the flexi for solid? I just did mine and used some bandseals to connect it

Have a look in the catalogs...Manrose etc. You can get adapters to pvc that allow you to "screw in" the flexible pipe. I guess Screwfix or Electrical wholesallers etc will do them.

I purchased the flexible ducting from screwfix but can’t see that they do a reducer/fitting for my situation. I am assuming that my solid pipe is 110mm.

I can cut the solid pipe higher up so the joint isn’t at the lowest point.

I can’t use a solid pipe throughout as the ducting is passing from one side of the loft to another. In between, is my boarded area (walkway in the loft). The flexible ducting goes up and then down the rafter you get to the other side of the loft. I hope this is explanation makes sense.

I appreciate your help in getting this solved.

I spoke to a local specialist today and he suggested using the flexible rubber connectors. He did suggest that the sizes wont be perfect. I assume that one end will tighten on to the 110mm pipe and the other end will allow me to slip the flexible duct over it. Similar to what @Ian H posted earlier I assume.
I can also cut the solid pipe further up so that the join is not nearer the lowest point. Does this sound plausible?

This sort of coupling to get you from flexi to pvc then adapt to drainage pvc if necessary.
Have a look in the Manrose catalogs etc.

Bear in mind that excessive lengths of flexi pipe will kill the fan performance...also consider condensation traps too.

With the above fitting, which end does my flexible ducting go into and how is it held in place?
Do I then need a bit of this connected to the other end of this fitting?
