How do i get into this tap please?

Hi,

My swirl bath shower mixer is dripping.

It's like this. Single lever.

Has anyone got into one of these or similar?

I took the blue and red blob off and removed a grub screw (which i dropped inside the tap unfortunately) but the handle still doesn't come off.

Do we think it's seized on or is there another way in?

And should it be a simple cartridge replacement if i can get in?

The handle pulls up and off ,once the grub screw is removed. Can get encrusted with limescale over time ,and a bit difficult to remove. The valve beneath is replaceable , providing you can source a replacement , but sometimes even a new one will not be trouble free . sometimes its better to fit a new tap.

Yes it turned out it just needed a bit more oomf to get it off.

Replacement cartridge doesn't look cheap though so i might well just get a new tap.

Limescale kills everything and often makes repairs impractical
