How do I prevent anyone turning off the wall double socket? I have seen the wall light switch with a special tool for on/off, do they do them for double wall socket?

It's for my Indoor Bowls club and someone keep turning the double wall socket switch off which I then have to keep rebooting the small pc, there's plenty "Do Not Switch Off" warning signs :!:

Borrow a webcam and point it towards the socket.

Publicly ask the miscreant for a good explanation of why (s)he keeps ignoring the signs.

Cheaper than replacing the socket (which might for liability reasons have to be done by a qualified electrician), and possibly more fun.

Change the socket for one without switches!
Did think of that but then they might pull the plug out!
Just a bit of tape across them (maybe with a suitable message written on it), although it wouldn't 'stop' them pulling the plug out, would surely give most of them the message that they shouldn't be pulling it out?

Kind Regards, John

So what part of the "Do Not Switch Off" warning signs messages are you suggesting the culprit(s) can't grasp?

Get your own back on the annoying bugger...

Find a way of feeding the PC independent of the socket and make it secure. Then put a dummy plug and lead in the usual socket and watch mayhem ensue when they switch it off, unplug it and still it refuses to die!!!

I must confess, I'm not normally confrontational, but, faced with someone who is obviously repeatedly ignoring a simple sign like this, I'd be wanting to know why. Grrrr!

Indeed, and we were told that this is a 'bowls club' - not really the sort of place where, at least traditionally, one would expect to find 'teenage troublemakers' :-)

Perhaps someone is 'green' and hates to see electricity being used!

Kind Regards, John

Either that or the older generation cannot accept the new technology.

Specsavers or they're too thick :?:

i would build a little cupboard round it or secure a bit off furniture in front off it

it could possibly be someone with the right intentions but cannot read the signs :?: :?:
