how do you replace a synchronous motor?

Qualified last year in Plumbing, but never changed a synchronous motor!

Don't they teach you anything at college any more.
power off
cover off
unscrew and remove motor.
replace in reverse order.
 
If you dont known how to fit a synchron then you wont know that around 20% of the time its not the motor at fault on a 3 port but the little circuit board inside the head.
So synchron may not be the fault
 
A far more reliable repair is to change the motorhead complete.

Costs more but saves you going back time and again for the same fault. :D
 
Thanks guys! Your right.....too many weeks wasted lead bashing...too many weeks working with low carbon steel..not enough time spent on bread & butter work!!!!
 
Done 2 years of plumbing and 1 year of gas, done lots of lead work models, but havent actually worked on lead at all XD.
