How long should an electric oven cooling thermostat last?

We have an AEG single oven, about 14 years old. It has started turning itself off when it gets hot after 20 mins or so. We had this problem three years ago and were advised on here to change the cooling fan thermostat (or something like that), which solved the problem.
Should we get a new oven or try changing the same part we changed a few years ago?

I am extremely busy and it feels a bit of an effort to get the correct part and work out how to change it. On the other hand I do not want to spend money on a new oven if it is simple for us to fix it.

Thanks for any advice.

Have just looked at my previous post here from a few years ago, and see it was a thermal cut-out I was advised to get. I cannot remember how we put it in but I do remember we managed to do it ourselves!

Should this last more than a few years?
Or is it time for us to get a new oven?

Thanks

I think that's really up to you.....the fault could be an overheat stat, the main oven stat itself or maybe the fan isn't running at full speed. Obviously its cheaper to repair but will take some time. Fortunately the parts are available to repair if you wish.

Best thing qe did was go from an electric to gas oven, wouldn't have anything but gas now personally..
