Why is it you know so much about electric stuff?

Maybe because I am curious - I know a fair bit about all sorts of disciplines, in addition to those in which I have been formally educated, 'qualified' or professionally involved

In almost every field, I like, where possible, to do as much work myself as I can, but I always want to learn enough to be able to do the work properly/safely - hence the need I've had over the years/decades to 'be curious' about all sorts of things.

Even now 30 years after I started using it the mini trunk lid would be what they call a hack now

Slide it it under cross pieces and in between insulation and draw it back .

It will still have its uses due to its thinness and manoeuvrerability
