How to commission a SAB bell box.

I have just installed a Gardtec 595 panel and a SAB bell box.

When I connect the battery in the bell box the siren sounds. Is there a way to stop this at the panel or do I just wear ear deffenders and connect up and replace the cover. Then reset the panel to silence the alarm.

Hi Peter.

I am not familiar with your panel & bell but why dont you connect up the bell first, use a screw or something to close the tamper spring on the bell. Then power up the panel, connect up the battery in the bell. Then remove the screw etc from the bell tamper, the bell will sound but only as long as you have the cover off. Reset your panel & job done.

This should work but I have never worked on your panel before.
