Hello,
I am building a frame for "wet room / shower enclosure" kind thing, made of construction C16 timber frame.
At the bottom, my shower tray has to be raised, therefore i will have a step, which will have to be tiled, possibly using long splash wall as the rest of the bathroom rather than tiles.
My question is,
can i simply screw the splash wall cut onto the timber ? or do i still have to fit a plaster board and tile adhesive between ?
Making the screws waterproof with silicon surely that is ok ?
It is mainly to keep the thickness short, as a plasterboard and adhesive would easily add 15mm between the splash wall and the timber.
Any other advice ?
