Hi,
I am planning to replace the ceiling lights with a flush ceiling light.
Do I need to replace the rose and collect the wires in wago connectors one for each live, neutral and earth ? The pic clearly shows five colours...so do I group them by their distribution ( red and brown are together as live?) and blue and black together as neutral ? Should I then connect the blue and brown from the new ceiling light to appropriate wago connectors ?
Secondly is there a simpler way to do this ...like connect the two wires from the ends of the white ceiling wire to the new flush light and hide that cable in the recesses of the new light ? Sorry but I had to ask !
Lastly since I've never done this before, how safe is it to drill holes for supporting brackets near the wires? I can see that almost every heavier light has one....is there something I need to avoid ? Is it a case of isolating the mains wire and staying clear ?
Pics enclosed and thank you for your help. Kind Regards.
