how to get heating on without heating hot water -Danesmoor

Hi,

Can you help please?

We have a Worcester Danesmoor 15/19 oil fired boiler which has the timer controls etc built into the boiler.

Is it possible to have the heating on without heating the hot water (immersion) tank which wastes energy when we dont need it.

How many pipes do you have coming out of the top of the boiler?
If 2, then you probably have gravity hot water and pumped heating, in which case you can't isolate the water from the heating.

1 x pipe from the top going to the loft
3 x pipes from the bottom (2 @ left and 1 @ right) all going under floor.

If you follow the pie into the loft, does it go into a valve? If so how many pipes are on this valve?
