After fitting a new switch to my oven i replaced the cover and started sliding the oven back into the recess. the power must have shorted on something as i heard a bang.
The socket the oven is connected to lost power (it has an oven switch and socket). No problem i thought it must be the fuse, the fuse was fine. So i thought ive bust the socket. I replaced the socket and still ive got no power going to the socket.
The strangest thing is that all the other sockets on this ring work fine.

To sum up ive got one socket on a ring that has no power any ideas???

check the fuses again. It sounds like you should have a separate fuse supplying the cooker point.

Before you do that, check your new switch wiring on the oven to see what has caused the fuse to blow.
