Funny how you wish to protect, and yet victims of war-torn countries which includes women and children that so many on here wish to stop entering the UK and find a safe place to live. So why, when these folk have no home, lost family members and live in fear are not included in that male urge to protect?

I think think that we can see the effect of trying to help everyone... Resources are spread too thinly and in the end no one is helped. People in other countries, no matter how tragic their plight are not a priority for me.... We have poured billions into Africa for years and have made no difference whatsoever, what makes you think that we will now.. Is I have said in the past, I have spent many years in the Middle East and thir problems are an issue for them to solve....

Did you watch the documentary that was on about this? The journo admitted it was not giving more material that played a part of sitting on the story. He also admitted he felt bad about it. At least that's what I think I remember hearing!

While it does receive some government funding, it also receives money from private donors. $528 is from the government, out of the $1.3 billion received.
